Welcome to Scouts BSA Troops 398 (Boys) and 3982 (Girls)
Chartered by Madison Hills Baptist Church in San Antonio, Texas, Troops 398 and 3982 are proud to provide young men and women with opportunities to grow as compassionate and courageous leaders through Scouting. The Church supports our mission by providing space for meetings and equipment storage, fostering a sense of community and service.
Why We Do This
Now more than ever, the world needs leaders who embody selfless service, character, and resilience. Scouting equips young people with the tools to rise to this call, building confidence, teamwork, and leadership skills that last a lifetime.
Our Year Ahead
For 2025, the Troops have planned a dynamic calendar of activities, including:
These experiences not only strengthen our scouts but also connect them to a larger purpose of serving others.
The Role of Adult Leaders
Our dedicated adult leaders and volunteers play a crucial role in mentoring scouts and guiding them through their journeys. Adult training ensures our leaders are equipped to support scouts effectively, fostering an environment of safety, growth, and encouragement. Leadership is not just a role—it’s a responsibility to inspire and empower the next generation.
